Roofing Contractor in Napa, CA
Napa is one of the strongest markets in the North Bay for the kind of roofing Rea Roofing Inc. is built around — standing seam metal, tile, and low-slope membrane on contemporary homes and winery-adjacent buildings, alongside straightforward composition re-roofs on the city's large stock of ordinary family houses.
What Napa roofs deal with
The city itself is a mix that catches people out. There are Victorians and turn-of-the-century homes in Napa Abajo and around Fuller Park, post-war and mid-century tracts through Alta Heights and Browns Valley, tile-roofed subdivisions from the 1980s and 1990s, and increasingly modern architecture out toward Silverado and Coombsville where flat and metal roofs are the norm.
Heat is the first factor. Napa summers run considerably hotter than anywhere on the coastal side of the North Bay, and sustained heat is hard on roofs — it ages composition shingle from above, dries out plumbing vent boots until they split, and cooks poorly ventilated attics. A cracked boot on a south-facing slope, invisible from the ground, is one of the classic Napa leaks.
Fire is the second. The Atlas Fire in 2017 burned east of the city, and the Glass Fire in 2020 came through the hills to the north. Properties in Coombsville, on the eastern ridges and up the valley sit in wildland-urban interface territory where a Class A fire-rated roof assembly is required. Metal and tile both deliver that rating, which is a large part of why they are so widely specified on new Napa County homes.
The 2014 South Napa earthquake left its own legacy on roofs. Masonry chimneys were among the most damaged elements across the city, and where a chimney was rebuilt, shortened or removed, the roof around it was disturbed. Flashing repaired reactively in 2014 is now more than a decade old, and chimney terminations are one of the first places we look when an older Napa home starts leaking.

Roofing in Napa — FAQ
Do you install metal roofs in Napa?
Yes — standing seam metal is one of the systems we are best known for, and it is specified constantly in Napa County for its Class A fire performance and its fit with contemporary valley architecture.
Can you work on a tile roof in Napa?
Yes. On tile, most leaks come from aged underlayment rather than the tile itself, so the right job is often a lift-and-relay that re-uses your existing tile and renews everything under it.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Rea Roofing Inc. holds California contractor's license CSLB #1133025, issued by the Contractors State License Board. You can verify it yourself at cslb.ca.gov — we would rather you did before hiring anyone.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates and roof inspections are free, and the workmanship is guaranteed. Those two promises are on every flyer and truck we run, and they hold.
Why homeowners hire us
A-
BBB Accredited Business
Rea Roofing Inc. holds an A- rating from the Better Business Bureau and has been BBB Accredited since October 30, 2025. It is an independent assessment, not a self-awarded badge.
What Napa homeowners can actually check
Rea Roofing is a young company — it started trading in 2025 — and it is still building its public review base. Rather than fill this space with quotes you cannot check, we would rather point you at things you can: the CSLB license, the BBB accreditation, and the actual roofs in the portfolio.
If we have worked on your roof, a review on Google, Facebook or the BBB genuinely helps a new local business — and we would be grateful for it.
